Daniel Flynn is stepping down as CEO

After 23 years of amazing work, Daniel Flynn is retiring.

After 23 years of exceptional dedication and service, Daniel Flynn has informed our Board of Trustees of his decision to step down as Chief Executive of YMCA North Staffordshire on 31 March 2026.

Daniel’s leadership has been nothing short of transformative. Throughout his tenure, YMCA North Staffordshire has grown and evolved into an organisation recognised for its award-winning programmes, inclusive community spaces, and unwavering commitment to supporting young people across our city. Under his guidance, thousands of young people have been empowered to realise their potential and build brighter, more hopeful futures.

Daniel leaves behind a powerful legacy rooted in partnership, compassion, and a deep belief in every young person’s ability to thrive. His vision and passion have helped shape not only our organisation, but the wider community we proudly serve.

Over the coming months, we look forward to celebrating Daniel’s remarkable contribution and the lasting impact of his leadership, while continuing to build on the strong foundations he has helped create.

It has been the greatest privilege of my working life to serve YMCA North Staffordshire and the young people we exist for.”
