YMCA Go! is a city-wide project powered by the National Lottery Community Fund, bringing energy, activities and opportunities straight into the heart of Stoke-on-Trent. We’re rooted in three brilliant communities — Hanley, Northwood and Blurton — and we’re all about giving young people aged 10–16 unforgettable experiences.
Working alongside Stoke-on-Trent City Council and amazing local partners, we make full use of children’s centres and community spaces to deliver exciting sessions in the evenings and throughout the school holidays. From fun activities to new skills and fresh opportunities, YMCA Go! is here to help young people try new things, make friends and have a great time.
Rooms are available to hire for contact sessions with those who provide their own social worker.
Mon – Wed 9:30 – 16:30

As part of a collaborative partnership, YMCA North Staffordshire delivers a Tier 3 Family Support and Coordination Service for families living within Stoke-on-Trent’s Central Locality.
Personal Outreach
Your Family Coordinator will work directly with you in your home or within the community, ensuring support is accessible and welcoming.
A Tailored Approach
Every family’s journey is different. Support is adapted to reflect your individual needs, strengths, and circumstances.
Empowering Change
We focus on building confidence, skills, relationships, and aspirations to support a more positive future.
Strong Local Knowledge
Your coordinator understands the services and opportunities available locally and will help you access the right support.
Family-Led Planning
You will work together to create a personalised plan, ensuring your family remains in control of its goals and progress.
Supportive and Respectful Relationships
Our coordinators work with empathy and professionalism, maintaining clear boundaries to build trust and consistency.
Your Family Coordinator goes beyond signposting to existing services. We actively work to:
Identify Gaps in Support
Where services are missing, we advocate alongside providers to help bring support into your community.
Build Stronger Communities
By strengthening voluntary and community services, we help create meaningful connections that improve lives.
Together, we can support lasting change and a brighter future for you and your family.
The Separated Parents Information Programme (SPIP) has been replaced by Planning Together for Children (PTFC). PTFC is a nationwide programme designed to support parents who are separating or living apart, with a strong focus on putting children’s needs and best interests first.
The programme consists of online learning followed by an interactive live digital group session. It includes updated, relevant, and representative content, while retaining the group work element of SPIP, allowing parents to share experiences and learn from one another.
PTFC measures engagement, impact, and learning outcomes to continually improve the programme and ensure it meets the needs of parents and children. Accessibility support is provided where needed.
Parents may be referred to PTFC by the Family Court or a Cafcass Family Court Advisor (FCA). More information is available on the Planning Together for Children website.
Here are some of the benefits of attending the PTFC programme:
You will learn how to put the needs of your children first.
You will learn how to communicate effectively with your co-partner.
You will learn how to agree on parenting arrangements that are in the best interests of your children.
You will learn how to manage conflict in a way that does not harm your children.
You will have the opportunity to share your experiences with other parents who are going through the same thing.
If you are a parent who is separating or living apart, the PTFC programme is a valuable resource that can help you create a better future for your children.
