YMCA North Staffordshire Easter Service

We certainly got into the Easter spirit here on campus this year!

Thanks to the kindness of our community, such as members of Star Bikers and Harrison Carloss, there was plenty of chocolate eggs to go round.

Not only that but we hosted our annual Easter service, a beautiful time of reflection, joy, and celebration of the resurrection of our Saviour, and we were delighted to be joined by Paul Critchley from Presence Worship and Alan Gault, Vicar of All Saints Church. Nicky left us with a powerful message: “What really matters is family, is faith, is love”

Board of Directors Community Meal

What a beautiful day for our Community Meal

A huge thank you to our amazing Board of Directors, alongside staff volunteers, who came together to cook and serve a delicious meal for everyone to enjoy! On the menu was pasta bolognese followed by apple crumble with custard – and plenty of smiles to go with it!

The Rotary Club visits YMCA North Staffordshire

Great to welcome the Etruria Rotary Club to YMCA North Staffordshire

We also had the pleasure of being joined by Hannes, a youth worker visiting from Germany – a great opportunity to share ideas, learn from each other, and strengthen our work with young people

Collaboration like this helps us continue making a real difference in our community

YMCA North Staffordshire hosted the first APPG outside of London!

We were delighted to host the first All Parliamentary Group on Youth Affairs outside of London here at YMCA North Staffordshire in Stoke-on-Trent.

The roundtable, hosted by MP David Williams, brought together key voices to focus on the future of youth work and its vital role in supporting young people.

As part of the 2025/26 APPG on Youth Affairs programme, discussions will contribute to the development of a report with the working title ‘Youth Work in 2035’. This forward-looking piece aims to shape thinking, policy, and practice for the years ahead.

YMCA Worldwide Feasts

Every Friday, our incredible canteen team pull out all the stops and throw fantastic theme nights for our residents.

With menus spanning from Hawaii to Jamaica, this is just one of the ways we bring our young people together through food, community, and good times

YMCA North Staffordshire Meet Royalty!

Our CEO Nicky Twemlow and resident Matthew Peacham represented YMCA North Staffordshire at the Queen Elizabeth Memorial Legacy Announcement at the British Museum.

Nicky spoke with Keir Starmer about funding cuts in Stoke-on-Trent and why investing in young people matters.

Matthew also spoke with King Charles III, sharing how our Youth Governance team is amplifying the voices of 3,000 young people through our Youth Consultation

Moments like this show the power of youth voice!

The Young Leaders podcast host CEO of Stoke-on-Trent City Council

we recorded a new episode of the Young Leaders Podcast with special guest Jon Rouse, CEO of Stoke-on-Trent City Council 🎙️

We had a really insightful conversation around the recent youth consultation, hearing directly about what stood out to Jon and why supporting young people continues to matter so much across the city.

It was great to discuss the importance of listening to young voices, creating opportunities, and making sure young people feel heard in the decisions that shape their future.

The Youth Governance team Plan for the Future!

Youth Governance team headed off on a residential to beautiful Ilam Park

The team spent time reflecting on everything we’ve achieved so far, discussing what’s working well, what we can improve, and most importantly — where we want Youth Gov to go over the next 12 months

From new ideas and future projects to honest conversations and team building, it was a great opportunity for everyone to have their voices heard and help shape the future of Youth Governance here in Stoke-on-Trent
