Over 400 People Celebrate the End of Summer at YMCA Holiday Hubb

Our YMCA campus was buzzing with excitement as over 400 people joined us for our second YMCA Holiday Hubb, bringing families and community members together for one final celebration before the end of the summer holidays.

Following the fantastic response to our first Holiday Hubb earlier in August, we were delighted to welcome the community back for another afternoon packed with FREE family fun, activities, food and opportunities to spend quality time together.

Throughout the day, families explored everything happening across our campus, with activities for children and young people to enjoy while parents, carers and community members had the chance to connect, meet new people and find out more about YMCA North Staffordshire.

Serving Up Something Special

A huge part of the day was bringing people together through food. We were incredibly grateful to welcome the fantastic team from the Chamber of Commerce, who rolled up their sleeves and helped serve burgers and hot dogs to community members throughout the event.

The team fired up the grills and cooked up hundreds of hot dogs and burgers for families and community members to enjoy – and they certainly went down a treat! With more than 400 people joining us on campus, it was fantastic to see so many people sitting down, enjoying some food and making the most of the day together.

Food has a brilliant way of bringing people together, and that was certainly the case at the Holiday Hubb. Whether people were grabbing a burger between activities or sitting down together as a family, it added to the welcoming community atmosphere that filled our campus throughout the afternoon.

A Summer to Remember

Seeing more than 400 people come through our doors was an incredible way to round off a busy summer at YMCA North Staffordshire.

The Holiday Hubb is about much more than putting on activities. It’s about creating a welcoming space where families can come together, young people can have fun and our wider community can feel part of YMCA.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, supported the event and helped make our second Holiday Hubb possible.

As the summer holidays come to an end, we’re already looking forward to creating even more opportunities for our community to come together.
