Purpose of the Job

To support the delivery of activities within the youth hub, helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where young people feel welcome, confident, and encouraged to participate.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Encourage participation in activities and help young people feel confident within the space
• Act as a positive role model, promoting inclusion, equality, and respect at all times
• Support staff with planning, preparing, and delivering youth activities and sessions

Purpose of the Job

The Youth Hub Volunteer plays an important role in supporting the delivery of a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for young people attending the hub. Volunteers assist staff in facilitating activities, building positive relationships with young people, and supporting the day-to-day operation of the youth space while maintaining the values and standards of the YMCA.

Key Responsibilities

Welcoming and Supporting Young People

• Provide a friendly and welcoming environment for young people attending the hub.
• Build and maintain positive, respectful relationships with young people.

Supporting Activities and Sessions

• Support the setup and tidy up of equipment, resources, and activity spaces.
