Through the CLOCK (Community Legal Outreach Collaboration, Keele) partnership we offer access to legal advice. Using Community Legal Companions who can help you unravel some of the complexities of housing, welfare benefits, family law, criminal justice, asylum and immigration with:
- Guidance on form-filling and application process
- Unbundling papers in formal proceedings
- Note taking
- Assistance in legal and formal proceedings, including McKenzie Friend
The CLOCK Partnership is headed by Dr Jane Krishnadas of Keele University with members drawn from Public Service Agencies, Voluntary Sector Services, Legal Services (Solicitors, Judges, Family Court Services) and Advocacy Services. The Community Legal Companions (Law Students based at Keele) are trained and supervised to take part as active citizens to support people in their local communities.
