In partnership with Staffordshire County Council, YMCA North Staffordshire offers a Family Support Service to children, young people and their parents that live within the district of Stafford. Families are provided with a tailored support package which will have been identified by a referrer (or via self-referral).
Your Family Support Worker will:
- involve all family members
- meet with you on a weekly basis
- pull in support from other services (if required; school, health)
- work with your child’s nursery/school
- accompany and support you in meetings/appointments
- carry out an Early Help Assessment and agree with you your support plan

Your Family Support Worker will visit you over a period of 12 weeks either in the comfort of your own home or at a venue that you prefer. You can ask your Family Support Worker to accompany you to appointments, assist you with completing applications for your child’s nursery or school place, or work.
